The Saudi Ambassador is Welcomed by President Trump to The White House For Iftar

RIYADH: President Trump personally welcomed Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, the Saudi ambassador to the United States, to the White House iftar on Thursday. The American president stated in his introductory remarks: “We are fulfilling our commitments to the Muslim community every single day. Building on the historic Abraham Accords, which everyone said would never be achieved, my government is pursuing a permanent peace in the Middle East via persistent diplomacy. Peace for all of humanity is what we all want.

“We are also extremely honoured to have many of our international friends and partners join us as we near the end of (the) Islamic holy month of Ramadan,” he continued. “Among them is the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States, a very, very special woman named Princess Rema — princess, thank you, thank you, princess.” The princess was one of several ambassadors from Arab nations, such as Jordan, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

The princess later praised Trump in a post on X, writing: “It was an honour to attend the iftar supper hosted by @POTUS. I appreciate his considerate gesture and polite welcome to the Muslim community. It is evidence of the camaraderie and collaboration that unite our countries.
