DUBAI: On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, stated that all parties must increase their efforts to address the most recent developments in Gaza due to the dangerous situation.

Speaking at a meeting of the Arab-Islamic ministerial committee in Jordan with the aim of ending the Gaza conflict, Prince Faisal said as much.

The Jordan News Agency (Petra) reports that the Islamic and Arab committee, which was formed to plan a worldwide response, will discuss taking action during the next high-level meetings of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York. Along with the secretary-generals of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, it comprises delegates from Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Bahrain.

The foreign minister of Jordan, meanwhile, claimed that Israel is dangerously escalating its actions on multiple fronts, bringing the entire Middle East to the verge of regional war. Following the conference, Ayman Safadi declared that a two-state solution was necessary for peace to prevail.
