The New Global Harmony Initiative From Saudi Arabia is Welcomed by Officials and Envoys

RIYADH: At a formal launch event in Riyadh on Wednesday evening, Saudi authorities made their new Global Harmony Initiative public. By examining their work and family lives, social and recreational pursuits, economic contributions, success stories, and cultural assimilation into Saudi society, the initiative, which was announced earlier this week, aims to celebrate and highlight the wide variety of nationalities and cultures among Kingdom citizens, according to its organisers.

During the Riyadh Season, the project—a partnership between the General Entertainment Authority, Saudi Vision 2030, the Ministry of Media, and the Quality of Life Program—will feature a variety of events, performances, and shows that highlight the cuisines, cultures, fashions, music, and heritage of nations such as Pakistan, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, the Philippines, and Bangladesh.

Journalist Fatma Fahad hosted the event on Wednesday at the Movenpick Hotel. It included a video presentation that emphasised the initiative’s key messages, such as “No language or culture separates us” and “Saudi Arabia will remain your land and its people are your people.”

“With the support of the General Entertainment Authority, the events will take place in Suwaidi park,” Abdulrahman Majrashi, president of the Centre for Government Communication and the Ministry of Media’s official spokesperson, told Arab News following the ceremony.
