Media Minister: Saudi Arabia is Becoming Into a Free Worldwide Incubator For Innovative Ideas

RIYADH — “Saudi Arabia has the greatest success story of the 21st century, told by its media that works with the tools of the future featuring an unstoppable movement,” stated Saudi Media Minister Salman Al-Dossary. “Saudi Arabia is evolving into an open global laboratory for big ideas where smart media merges with artificial intelligence, big data, mixed reality technologies, and virtual reality,” he said during the opening session of the fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum in Riyadh on Wednesday.

With the subject “Media in an Evolving World,” the three-day event serves as a global forum for influencing media’s future. Through 80 sessions and knowledge dialogues, 11 initiatives, and interactive experiences, it brought together over 2000 participants, including 200 speakers and professionals from both local and international arenas in the fields of politics, energy, media, economics, artificial intelligence technologies, and entrepreneurship.

“Talking about the future of media means talking about a world born of predictive algorithms, journalistic robots, and artificial intelligence,” Al-Dossary stated, adding that each day that goes by without artificial intelligence is equivalent to years of delay.
