MAKKAH: The Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday that the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque’s Presidency of Religious Affairs had opened the registration process for volunteers for the holy month of Ramadan. The presidency hopes to draw in and utilise domestic talent to assist pilgrims and tourists in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the National Centre for the Non-Profit Sector.

According to the SPA, there will be integrated volunteer programs in religious specialisations, with intentions to establish over 100 new possibilities for a total of over 300 hours. According to the report, a thorough volunteer database has been created to expedite communication and recruitment. Volunteers are needed for positions in media, technical sectors, guidance, awareness, translation, and Qur’an recitation correction.

The presidency’s operational plan for the holy month also included a number of enrichment initiatives. According to President Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, the operational plan for Ramadan revolves around ten enhancing tracks. With over 120 scientific, intellectual, and guidance projects to showcase the virtues of the holy month, he said the goal is to improve the experience of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
