In Just One week, the Kingdom Arrested 22,497 illegals

Riyadh: Saudi officials detained 22,497 people in one week for violating residence, labor, and border security restrictions, the Saudi Press Agency said on Saturday. A total of 13,817 persons were detained for violating residence restrictions, 5,280 for illegal border crossings, and another 3,400 for labor-related concerns.

According to the report, of the 1,687 people arrested for attempting to enter the Kingdom illegally, 61% were Ethiopian, 38% were Yemeni, and 1% were of another nationality. A further 40 persons were apprehended while attempting to cross into neighboring countries, while 15 were detained for transporting and housing violators, according to the SPA.

According to the Ministry of Interior, anybody discovered supporting unlawful entry into the Kingdom, including providing transportation and lodging, faces a potential 15-year jail sentence, a fine of up to SR1 million ($267,000), and car and property seizure. Suspected infractions can be reported using the toll-free numbers 911 in Makkah and Riyadh, and 999 or 996 in the rest of the Kingdom.Saudi authorities imprisoned 22,497 people in a week for breaking residency, work, and border security regulations, according to the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.
