Saudi Arabia is preparing to host the 26th session of the UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh from November 7 to 11, under the theme “AI-Powered Tourism: Redefining the Future.” The event will also mark the 50th anniversary of the global tourism body, making it a significant milestone for the industry.
Represented by the Ministry of Tourism, the Kingdom will welcome delegations from more than 160 member countries, alongside international organizations and major figures from the tourism sector. The gathering aims to open a global dialogue on building a more sustainable tech-driven and prosperous future for tourism while celebrating five decades of international collaboration under the UN Tourism umbrella.
Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb extended and open invitation to the world, He emphasized that Saudi Arabia is proud to host an event that will shape the future of the industry, strengthen international cooperation and showcase the transformative potential of innovation.
The session’s agenda will include the election of the organization’s next secretary-general, a series of General Assembly meetings and specialized committee discussions and a thematic session focusing on how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing travel and tourism.
