Saudi Crown Prince Meets US House Leaders in Washington to Strengthen Ties

WASHINGTON — Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with US House Speaker Mike Johnson and several congressional leaders at the Capitol on Wednesday to discuss key issues and reinforce the longstanding Saudi-US partnership.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the discussions covered major regional and international developments, along with efforts to boost cooperation between the two nations across multiple sectors. US officials reaffirmed their commitment to the historic and strategic relationship between Washington and Riyadh.

 Senior government ministers accompanied him during the meetings. The crown prince was accompanied by a number of government ministers on his state visit to the United States, which aimed to strengthen ties in areas like defense, energy projects, and artificial intelligence.

Among the Saudi delegation were Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, National Security Adviser Musaed Al-Aiban, Commerce Minister Majid Al-Qasabi, Minister of State Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan, and Secretary-General of the US-Saudi Partnership Council Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri.
