Chief of SDAIA: Summit to Establish Riyadh as a Global Hub for AI Developments

RIYADH The third Global AI Summit will be attended by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the chairman of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The summit will take place from September 10–12 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre in Riyadh, according to SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi. According to him, the Crown Prince’s vision for the Kingdom’s aspiration to become a world leader in artificial intelligence is demonstrated by the summit’s third edition. According to Al-Ghamdi, the summit aims to establish Riyadh as a worldwide hub for AI developments, encouraging cooperation on ethical AI research that advances humankind.

He expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for his committed support of the Global AI Summit. He stressed this patronage’s critical role in advancing the country’s data and AI agenda, optimising the advantages of state-of-the-art technologies, enhancing the Kingdom’s reputation abroad, and reaffirming its leadership position in the sector.

“Under the gracious patronage of the Crown Prince, this summit builds upon the remarkable achievements of its previous editions, which were held in 2020 and 2022. The broad range of topics covering various areas of global interest in data and AI sets apart the third edition of the summit. The speaker stated that this is especially important in light of the technologies’ quick development and enormous influence on people and organizations.
