Public security officials in Saudi Arabia have confirmed that no visitation visa permits its holders to do the Hajj.
They asked anyone entering the Kingdom with a visitation visa to avoid going to Makkah or staying there between Dhul Qada 15, which is May 23, and Dhul-Hijjah 15, which is June 21. They drew attention to the fact that over 20,000 tourists with various visitation visas have imposed sanctions on them due to Hajj rules and directives that forbid staying in Makkah.
The officials made it clear that those who disobeyed the Kingdom’s regulations would face consequences in order to protect authorized Hajj pilgrims during their religious observances.
The move is a component of the organizational and security measures the Ministry of Interior is taking to guarantee the safety of the permitted pilgrims and make it easier for them to carry out their rituals comfortably. The ministry recently declared that if anyone is found entering Makkah without a Hajj permit between June 2 and June 20, including Saudi nationals, foreigners, and tourists, they will be subject to fines of SR 10,000.
