RIYADH: To investigate and restore these birds’ habitats within the reserve’s borders, the Saudi Falcons Club and the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority have carried out a first field assessment. According to a Saudi Press Agency article on Wednesday, the administration stressed that the project’s goal is to restore these places because of their critical role in maintaining natural and cultural variety.
Additionally, it aims to improve field teams’ efficiency and training so they can handle comparable projects in the future and support the reserve’s international recognition and standards. Both active and inactive Shaheen falcon habitats were identified during the project’s first phase, with some of them requiring immediate attention. The authorities emphasized the significance of such projects, emphasizing their function in safeguarding local culture and legacy in addition to maintaining environmental balance.
The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority, in partnership with the Saudi Falcons Club, undertook a preliminary field assessment to explore and restore these birds’ habitats within the reserve’s boundaries.
