A Former Foreign Minister Claims That the Indian Diaspora is a Vital Conduit Between Saudi Arabia and India

The India Islamic Cultural Center’s president, Salman Khurshid, travels to Riyadh to talk with Indian expats about their experiences residing and working in the Kingdom. Bihar Legislative Assembly member Akhtarul Iman claims that Indian authorities have not adequately addressed the issues facing Indian Muslims. RIYADH: Indians who live and work in Saudi Arabia are important to the two nations’ relations, according to Salman Khurshid, president of the India Islamic Cultural Centre and a former foreign minister of his nation.

In order to enhance the assistance and services the cultural centre offers to all Indians, both in India and abroad, he continued, he and his staff are working to adopt reforms and improvements at the institution. Khurshid, who was chosen as the center’s president in August of last year, was in Riyadh on Friday for an event where he spoke with Indian expats about their experiences working and living in the Kingdom.

He stated, “I am here to engage with the Indian community and talk about the realities on the ground.” “They want to know what’s going on in India.” “I’m thrilled that the IICC is in the spotlight, that people are considering the opportunities and the extent to which we can grow the organisation as a global hub and recognise the significance of understanding that aspect of Indian culture and society globally.
