Working with the Saudi Ministry of Education, Tuwaiq Academy opened a gifted students-only specialized technical high school in Riyadh.
The goal of the new school is to develop future talent by offering an immersive, application-based curriculum along with worldwide certifications in specialized programs.
According to a Tuesday report from the Saudi Press Agency, it seeks to give students the tools they need to spur innovation across many different sectors.
The school offers programming, information security, and other programs that have been certified by prominent international agencies.
In addition to being pushed to create projects and maybe get patents for their inventions, students will receive an education in a highly competitive setting. The school, which focuses on gifted high school students, uses cutting edge technologies to further technical education across the nation.
By focusing on practical skills in expert-led lectures and activities, students will be ready for both university exams and standardized testing.
The school also seeks to prepare students for major competitions that showcase Saudi talent in various technical fields, such as the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Competition and Exhibition, and the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
