RIYADH: According to the chief executive of Saudi Arabia’s Hevolution Foundation, a nonprofit organisation devoted to increasing a healthy human lifespan, people all across the world desire to live long, healthy lives. During the inaugural session of the Hevolution Foundation’s Global Healthspan Summit in Riyadh on Tuesday, which has Arab News as a media partner, Mehmood Khan, CEO of the organisation, stated, “We at Hevolution do not like to use the word longevity.”
In reality, the majority of the individuals we serve worldwide don’t want to live longer simply for the purpose of doing so. They want to be self-sufficient; they want to be able to think and move normally,” Khan continued. The two-day conference is to concentrate on topics related to aging-related diseases, their effects on the economy, society, and general health. The event is also negotiating investment opportunities to raise the standard of health in the Kingdom and around the world.
“Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, whose vision has led to the creation of Hevolution today,” Khan continued. “I can attest to his unwavering support; just four or five days ago, he enquired as to whether everything was proceeding as planned.” The CEO went on to discuss scientific research and healthcare quality as two other factors that are essential to extending a healthy human lifespan.
