Following the complete migration of the network’s editorial, administrative, and operational divisions to the Saudi capital, Media Minister Salman Al-Dosari paid a visit to Al Arabiya Network’s headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday.
Al-Dosari met with the network’s editorial and technical leadership during the visit, and they went over the broadcasting operations, content creation systems, and organizational structure. He received an overview of the network’s editing processes and the state-of-the-art equipment used in the three major studios and three control rooms.
Deputy General Manager Zaid bin Kami and General Manager Mamdouh Al-Muhaini of Al Arabiya and Al Hadath greeted the minister. He was given a tour of the newsroom and studio areas, which are furnished with robotic cameras, augmented and virtual reality capabilities, and sophisticated live-broadcast systems run by 230 employees.
Al-Dosari also went over future plans for the headquarters, which include the building of five more studios and five new control rooms. In order to improve the quality of the material and provide viewers a better visual narrative experience, the improvements will include media technologies that are being introduced.
Since its founding more than 22 years ago, Al Arabiya has been instrumental in raising Arab consciousness thanks to its logical, professional tone and rejection of populism and sensationalism, the minister said, praising the network’s editorial vision and heritage.
