Fahad Al-Jalajel, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority’s (SFDA) Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors, started a licensing program to make it easier for doctors to diagnose, treat, and make medical decisions using medical software in digital health.
Dr. Hisham Aljadhey, the CEO of the SFDA, was present at the launch event, which was held Tuesday during the Global Health Exhibition 2024 in Riyadh.
The SFDA’s project aims to encourage industry and investment in medical devices and supply software. This will allow investors, research facilities, and inventors to bring cutting-edge technology to Saudi Arabia without having to set up physical factories. The project also seeks to improve digital methods for diagnosis and treatment.
