Riyadh: The UN Human Settlements Programme is hosting the 12th World Urban Forum in Cairo from November 4–8, where Saudi officials are highlighting the Kingdom’s contribution to sustainable urban development.
The Baha region’s municipality outlined the goals of Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s urban development projects, and the standards that the municipality adheres to. Baha’s mayor, Ali Al-Sawat, highlighted the Kingdom’s innovative initiatives to accomplish sustainable development objectives in a number of urban domains.
The municipality’s involvement also included trash management, recycling, green areas, sustainable transportation, urban planning, community involvement, and environmental problem-solving techniques.
It emphasised Saudi Arabia’s initiatives to make cities more sustainable and adaptive, and it featured innovations that enhance the quality of life for locals while protecting the environment.
In order to create a sustainable urban model that satisfies community demands, the municipality is dedicated to creative solutions in infrastructure, project management, and data analysis.
