RIYADH: The Haramain High-Speed Railway offers round-the-clock service between Madinah and Makkah and has carried over 1.3 million tourists and Umrah participants thus far during Ramadan, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Its goal is to make it easier for locals, tourists, and citizens to access the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque for Umrah ceremonies and prayers.
The Middle East’s most fabulous transportation project, the Haramain High-Speed Railway, strategically has stations in Makkah, Madinah, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh.
With a top speed of 300 kph, the electrically powered, emission-free train travels 450 kilometers in about two hours while maintaining the most excellent security and safety requirements.
From passenger welcome and reservation verification to luggage processing and straight boarding few minutes before departure, the entire operation is overseen by youthful Saudi experts. These experts also make sure the train runs on time by following its operating schedule. The services provided to passengers include gate reception, reservation verification, escalator navigation to waiting spaces, and a smooth transition to the train platform.
