RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s (KSrelief) humanitarian operations in Yemen, Ukraine, and Sudan continue to serve those who require medical and therapeutic care. In November, KSrelief served 562 patients in Yemen through the Prosthetic and Rehabilitation Center in Aden as part of efforts to develop the country’s healthcare sector and assist persons in need of prostheses.
The center also provided 1,395 services, which included prosthetic limb production, fitting, and rehabilitation, as well as physical therapy and expert consultations. Also in Aden, a group of medical volunteers conducted an adult urological surgery campaign from December 15 to 22, with nine specialists performing 15 procedures on patients. The project was carried out in partnership with the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen.
From December 8 to 15, KSrelief volunteers in Rzeszow, Poland, fitted prosthetic limbs for 32 Ukrainian refugees. In Sudan’s Port Sudan, KSrelief volunteers organized a pediatric surgical program that successfully examined 15 children and performed seven surgeries.
