In swing states, Donald Trump won by a landslide in the US elections. Trump’s victory has been announced by the US media. Trump was the target of two murder attempts during the fiercely divided election campaign. Trump has earned 270 electoral colleges, which is the majority, while his opponent Kamala Harris has earned 224. In 20 years, he will be the second Republican to be elected to a second term. From 2001 to 2009, Republican George W. Bush served as president.
Trump will return to the Oval Office for the second time tomorrow after securing a majority, and Kamala Harris will concede defeat early tomorrow morning.
Trump is ahead in five swing states: Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada. He has already won the swing states of Georgia and North Carolina.
After Tuesday’s vote, Donald Trump had expressed his willingness to accept defeat “if it’s a fair election” and once more voiced worries with the use of computerised voting machines. But after voting in one of the most controversial US elections in decades on Election Day in Florida, Trump declared that he is “very confident” that he will regain the White House.
