The Saudi-Malaysian Coordination Council’s inaugural meeting examined the development of the two countries’ bilateral ties. The meeting was co-chaired by Malaysian Foreign Affairs Minister Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan and Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh.
In order to serve their shared interests and fulfill the goals of their leaderships, the meeting decided to improve coordination and collaboration between the two sides in a number of domains. With an emphasis on topics like politics, security and defense, energy, economy, investment, education, culture, and tourism, it supports the council’s broad goals of strengthening cooperation, connectivity, and integration between the two countries through the council and its committees.
The two parties reviewed their long-standing relationship at the beginning of the meeting and underlined the need of maintaining and advancing mutual coordination in all facets of bilateral cooperation. They also emphasized the necessity of establishing unified stances on bilateral, regional, and global matters of mutual interest. In order to further their common interests, both parties reaffirmed their dedication to fortifying their collaboration and expanding it toward new frontiers.
