According to a recent survey, Saudi Arabia has transformed itself into the second-best country in the world for expatriates, surpassing the US, the UK, and Belgium.
More than half of respondents in the country gave the local employment market a good grade, placing the Kingdom second only to Denmark on the Working Abroad Index in the most recent Expat Insider survey.
Saudi Arabia’s rapid rise is evidenced by the fact that it went from being ranked in 14th place in 2023 to the first spot.
Four subcategories—career prospects, pay and job security, work and leisure, and work culture and satisfaction—are used by the index to rank the nations.
The local employment market, professional prospects, financial situation, and job security are among the factors. Other factors include wage equity, working hours, work-life balance, and corporate culture.
When it came to career opportunities, the Kingdom outperformed the US and the UAE, coming in first.
According to the survey, 75% of foreign workers in Saudi Arabia are considerably more likely to concur that their job possibilities have increased as a result of their relocation, and 62% think highly of their own career opportunities.
