RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Air Warfare Centre will host the start of the “Spears of Victory 2025” military drill next week, according to the Saudi Press Agency. With participation from 15 nations, the exercise, which will take place from January 26 to February 6, will highlight the international commitment to enhancing military cooperation. Bahrain, Greece, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan are among the nations that contribute. According to SPA, seven other countries will participate as observers: Australia, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, South Korea, and Spain.
The exercise’s commander, Air Force Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Omari, stated that the goals were to improve combat preparedness, encourage the sharing of planning and execution experience, and standardise the idea of joint military action. According to him, the exercise will concentrate on addressing present and future challenges, developing tactical capabilities, and encouraging cooperative operational plans.
According to SPA, participating forces will take part in intricate tactical exercises intended to mimic threats in a cutting-edge electronic warfare setting. In addition to military contingents from other countries with active forces on the ground, these operations will combine elements of the Saudi Arabian military, the Ministry of the National Guard, and the Presidency of State Security.
