The United Arab Emirates Ships 3,000 tons of Supplies to Lebanon

DUBAI: On Friday, the United Arab Emirates sent a second assistance vessel to Lebanon with 3,000 tons of humanitarian supplies.

As part of the October-launched “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign, the ship sailed from Port of Jebel Ali to the Port of Beirut.
According to state-run WAM, it transports a variety of vital humanitarian materials, including food, winter clothing, and goods especially made for women and children.

The statement stated that the ship was anticipated to arrive by the end of this month and that it was the second UAE relief aid vessel to transport various relief goods from UAE donor organizations and humanitarian institutions to Lebanon.

Since the Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon, the UAE has repeatedly underlined its unflinching support for Lebanon’s unity and national sovereignty.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the president of the United Arab Emirates, ordered the delivery of a $100 million emergency aid package to aid the people of Lebanon in October.
