During the Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference, which began in Riyadh on Wednesday, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), signed several important agreements aimed at enhancing tax and customs cooperation with several nations. Among these are agreements to prevent double taxation with Kuwait and Croatia.
In order to prevent double taxation and to increase commerce and investment, a new agreement was made with Kuwait. Al-Jadaan and Eng. Noora Sulaiman Al-Fassam, Kuwait’s Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments, signed the agreement, which aims to improve economic relations between the two countries and give investors equitable opportunity.
Al-Jadaan signed a deal to prevent double taxation with Marko Primorac, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Croatia. By resolving tax-related issues, this agreement is anticipated to increase trade and investment between Saudi Arabia and Croatia.
Furthermore, a deal was reached with the Kosovo government to improve collaboration and support for one another in customs-related issues. By encouraging administrative cooperation, sharing knowledge, and implementing contemporary customs technology, this agreement, signed by Al-Jadaan and Hekuran Murati, the Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers for Kosovo, seeks to promote trade.
Nearly 90 local, regional, and international organizations are participating in the conference, which also has debate sessions and more than 70 workshops. Alongside the conference, there was also an exhibition.
