Up to Friday, Saudi Arabia's Civil Defense is Warning of Intense Rain and Strong Gusts

Residents and people are advised by the General Directorate of Civil Defense to prioritize their safety and proceed with caution by staying away from regions that are vulnerable to valleys, marshes, and torrents.

It also stressed that people should closely follow advice provided through various media and social media platforms. It was strongly encouraged not to swim in certain locations as they are inappropriate and dangerous.

This caution is especially important because, according to the Saudi Press Agency, thunderstorms are predicted to persist until Friday in several areas of the Kingdom.

According to the directorate, there will be strong winds that will create dust storms and moderate to heavy rainfall in the Makkah region, which will result in hail and torrential showers. Most notably, this will impact multiple governorates.

According to SPA, there will be mild to moderate rainfall in Makkah city and the surrounding areas.

Light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds that could cause dust to rise over the Riyadh region are predicted by the Civil Defense. Different governorates will be impacted by these meteorological conditions as well.

The directorate predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in the regions of Asir, Baha, and Jazan, and moderate rainfall in the regions of Madinah and Najran.
