Keeper of the Two Holy Mosques. Four imams will be appointed to the Two Holy Mosques per King Salman’s decree. This was declared by Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, who is in charge of the Prophet’s Mosque and the Grand Mosque’s Presidency for Religious Affairs.
As per the royal decree, Sheikh Muhammad Barhaji and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Qarafi were designated as imams at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, while Sheikh Badr Al-Turki and Sheikh Al-Waleed Al-Shamsan were selected as imams of the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
Safeguarding the Two Holy Mosques At the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman has ordered the appointment of four imams. The head of the Grand Mosque’s and the Prophet’s Mosque’s Presidency for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, made the announcement.
