For the Hajj Season, Saudi Railways has Announced an Increase in the Haramain High-Speed Train's Seating Capacity

According to Saudi Arabia Railways, the Haramain High-Speed Railway is ready to welcome pilgrims for this year’s Hajj season, which also reported that it has roughly 100,000 more seats available.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, SAR unveiled its operating schedule for the season at its five stations connecting Makkah to Madinah. This brings the total number of seats to 1.6 million, up from more than 1.3 million last year.
The 453-kilometer railway traverses the King Abdullah Economic City, King Abdulaziz Airport station, and the main Jeddah station in the Sulaymaniyah neighborhood.

According to SPA, more than 3,800 trips are planned from May 9 to June 25 as a result of this expansion, which also takes into account the addition of more than 430 new trips to the trips from the previous year. Peak-day trip counts will be 126.
The Haramain High-Speed Railway is one of the world’s top ten fastest electric trains. With a top speed of 300 km/h, it runs a fleet of 35 trains that can accommodate 417 passengers each. It operates with zero carbon emissions and an environmentally friendly system. Lowering traffic also contributes significantly to the preservation of road infrastructure.
