A New Initiative to Improve Saudi Officials' Technological Proficiency

RIYADH: According to the Saudi Press Agency, Tuwaiq Academy has begun offering a six-month course called Future Tech Leaders, which is intended to improve the technical proficiency of professionals in leadership positions.

The initiative is run in collaboration with the University of California, Berkeley, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the National Technology Development initiative. According to the SPA, it employs a practical learning methodology to give CEOs and IT managers the skills they need to stay current with developing technology.

Important topics covered in the curriculum include cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, which are becoming increasingly in demand. Tuwaiq Academy uses boot camps and professional programs to cultivate national leadership in contemporary technology.

It collaborates with industry titans like Apple, Microsoft, Meta, and Stanford University to train highly qualified workers in various fields. The academy also offers additional programs for different age groups and can be found at tuwaiq.edu.sa. The program aims to close the gap between the labor market’s demands and the quick development of contemporary technology.
