The Saudi Press Agency said on Thursday that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has finished preparing Mina’s Al-Khaif Mosque to receive pilgrims.
The mosque needed its carpets cleaned, sanitized, and its lighting, air conditioning, and restrooms checked.
In addition, the ministry has turned on electronic screens and security cameras and installed fatwa booths and counters dedicated to Islamic knowledge. The location has been given to maintenance firms with 24-hour cleaning duties.
The duty of overseeing the maintenance work and filing reports has been placed on field supervisors.
In recent years, the ministry has worked on a number of development initiatives at the mosque, including upkeep, remodeling, and structural repairs. There has also been work done on air filtration and air conditioning systems.
In order to assist guests, Al-Khaif Mosque has also been furnished with carpets, counters, and electronic displays.
