Authorities Arrest 8 Suspects for Allegedly Transporting 28 Individuals Who were not Allowed to Perform Hajj

The Saudi Press Agency said on Tuesday that the Interior Ministry declared that eight suspects were detained at the entrances of Makkah by Hajj Security Forces for transporting 28 individuals without proper permissions.
The suspects, who were three non-Saudis and five from the Kingdom, were apprehended for violating the norms and regulations surrounding the Hajj after conveying those who had not obtained the necessary licenses to undertake the Hajj.
Administrative decisions were made against the violators by the seasonal administrative committees of the General Directorate of Passports. The offenders will be sentenced to 15 days in prison and a fine of SR10,000 ($2,666) for each transported violator.

After serving their jail terms, the non-Saudi offenders will be deported, and the criminals will also be identified and publicly humiliated.
Three cars that were utilized to transport the offenders have also been seized by the authorities.
To ensure that every pilgrim has a safe, secure, and comfortable time carrying out the Hajj rituals, the ministry has urged all nationals and foreigners to adhere to the laws, guidelines, and directions regarding the Hajj.
