RIYADH: To commemorate the close cooperation between the two countries, notable members of the Saudi business sector attended an iftar party and awards ceremony on Tuesday at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh.
Dr. Abdul Aziz Ahmad, Indonesia’s ambassador to the Kingdom, gave the Primaduta Awards to Bin Shihon Trading Co. and Jarir Marketing Co., the night’s significant winners. Established in 1996, the awards are given out yearly by the Indonesian government to Saudi importers who demonstrate a strong dedication to trade and economic development with the country in Southeast Asia.
Special appreciation was given to Abdul Latief Jameel Co., Said Bawazir Group, and Sami Al-Khatiri Trading Est. for their respective contributions and the two significant prizewinners.
Ahmad expressed hope that this will encourage more Saudi companies to work closely with Indonesian companies looking to grow in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Additionally, he invited all Saudi companies to participate in the October 2024 Trade Expo Indonesia.
