RIYADH: The Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo and the Saudi Light and Sound Expo opened in Riyadh on Tuesday. The events hope to shed light on the future of the Kingdom’s entertainment industry, showcase the latest products and technologies, and provide a forum for those at the forefront of a rapidly evolving sector in the country.
The expos, which will last three days and feature creativity, interactive experiences, and technological innovations, will provide an early glimpse of what is to come in the entertainment industry and the opportunities it will create, according to Eihab Abourokbah, CEO of the Saudi Entertainment Academy.
The events, which run until Thursday at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre, were opened to the public, including local and international experts, public-sector officials, and industry professionals, following an inauguration by Mohannad Al-Abbad, chief investment and business development officer at the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority. As the event began, a delegation of GEA representatives conducted a VIP walk-through, followed by exhibitors and a series of conversations and presentations.
Sarkis Kahwajian, associate vice president of DMG Events and the expos’ organizer, stated: “As we launch both the SEA Expo and the SLS Expo, our goal is for this year’s shows to leave a lasting impression on the region’s entertainment industry.
