Governor of Madinah Attends the Fatwa Symposium at the Prophet's Mosque

Tuesday night in the Prophet’s Mosque was the second Fatwa Symposium, which was attended by Madinah Governor Prince Salman bin Sultan.

The Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque’s Presidency of Religious Affairs hosted the forum.

In a speech on behalf of Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh, Sheikh Fahad Al-Majid, secretary-general of the Council of Senior Scholars, stated that Saudi Arabia’s dedication to the Two Holy Mosques was demonstrated by the growth and development of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Making it possible for more Muslims to travel to Makkah and Madinah for religious ceremonies was one of Saudi Vision 2030’s main goals, he stated.

The challenges faced by pilgrims without licenses were discussed by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, secretary-general of the Muslim World League, along with new fatwas that assist pilgrimage and the Council of Senior Scholars’ decision mandating permits for the Hajj.

The symposium, according to Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, president of religious affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, represented the nation’s leaders’ continuous efforts to support the Two Holy Mosques and spread their message throughout the world.
