An increasing number of people are choosing to use solar photovoltaic systems instead of conventional energy sources to power their homes and businesses because they are concerned about their carbon footprint. To boost adoption, a Saudi startup is making use of artificial intelligence.
As an environmentally benign and sustainable substitute for power produced from fossil fuels, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems use sunlight to generate electricity.
Although switching to solar energy has several advantages, such as lower electricity costs and increased environmental sustainability, the initial outlay can be a major deterrent to widespread adoption.
According to Arab News, Abdulelah Habib, the CEO and founder of OptimalPV, a distributive solar design firm established in 2023, the pricey materials needed for solar systems are the main cause of their high capital cost.
He stated, “This includes premium solar panels, inverters, and other necessary components.”
Recent technological advancements have increased the efficiency and affordability of solar PV systems, making them a popular option for individuals and companies wishing to lower their carbon footprint and save money on energy bills.
