In Yemen, the Saudi Al-Balsam Organization Carries Out Forty-Three Neurosurgical Surgeries

43 neurosurgical surgeries have been completed in Yemen by the Al-Balsam Association for Training and Health Development, with sponsorship and support from the Saudi humanitarian organization KSrelief.

According to a statement released by the group on Thursday, “this voluntary medical program, held from Aug. 17 to 23, offered free treatment to patients.”

The treatments were carried out at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden by the Al-Balsam team, a group of approximately twenty-five medical experts that included top neurosurgery and spinal surgery doctors, nurses, and technicians.

The crew worked with Yemeni doctors in the area to evaluate 127 individuals in all and give them necessary medical care.

The voluntary neurosurgery program in Yemen is a component of KSrelief’s medical humanitarian programs, which are designed to treat people and families in need of medical care but have limited financial resources in a number of different nations.

According to Dr. Ahmed Al-Ahmari, executive director of the Al-Balsam Association, patients with serious diseases requiring immediate and efficient intervention were operated on by the medical team for brain, neurological, and spinal difficulties.
