RIYADH: In addition to providing emergency assistance, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) maintains its worldwide humanitarian endeavours by distributing basic food items and clothing coupons. The charity organisation distributed 1,050 food boxes on Wednesday to 6,524 people in Pakistan’s Shahdadkot region of Sindh province, the majority of whom had been impacted by floods.
KSrelief provided 1,247 double desks, 560 single desks, 56 wheelchairs, laptops, and office supplies to 26 adult education schools and 35 centres for the disabled in various Yemeni governorates on Thursday. As part of a broader initiative to provide 441 tonnes of dates to the most vulnerable families in the states of Kassala, Gedaref, Red Sea, River Nile, Blue Nile, White Nile, Sennar, and Gezira, 40 tonnes of dates were distributed in Wad Madani, Gezira State, Sudan.
In order to help Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip restore their damaged houses and property after more than 15 months of conflict, KSrelief partnered with the Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage to offer shelter bags. From January 15 to January 21, the charity organisation successfully completed a volunteer prosthetic project in Poland, supplying 30 prosthetic limbs to Ukrainian refugees.
