Conditions for Yemeni residents have been getting better thanks to an initiative by Saudi humanitarian organization KSrelief that provides water and improves environmental cleanliness.
About 1,033,550 liters of drinking water and 10,849,000 liters of non-drinking water were supplied in Hajjah between June 19 and June 25. The project team operated in the districts of Midi, Haradh, Hayran, and Abs in addition to the As-Ashour camp located in the Razih region of Saada.
38 trips were made to remove rubbish from the camps of the displaced, and 30,100 persons benefited from the pumping of 70,000 liters of drinking and non-drinking water each in Saada.
In Mukalla, in the province of Hadhramaut, KSrelief also started a volunteer medical project for tumor removal and surgery on the ears, nose, and throat.
For one week beginning on July 20, 22 volunteers from a variety of medical specializations are part of this project. The medical staff has completed 60 specialist operations with success thus far.
In the meanwhile, KSrelief completed its urological surgery project in Port Sudan, Sudan. Eleven volunteers participated in the week-long program, which resulted in 119 successful specialty procedures.
