Malik has led Crocus to become one of the prominent names in the space of consulting and strategic business solutions. Early Life And Educational Background
M.N. Malik hails from Srinagar, Kashmir, India, a region drenched in rich culture and history, where he was taught the values of hard work and perseverance right from his childhood. With a journey of relentless hard work, struggles, and breakthroughs, his initial days in the industry were not directly aligned with his future aspirations, and it was his brother-in-law who paved the way for his first significant opportunity.
Starting in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative in school days, he took a major leap in his career after completing his education and migrated to Bangalore, marking a crucial breakthrough opportunity at a call center. Malik had been associated with Neera& Sons (India) as a Runner and eventually joined Axar Pharmaceutical (India) and Bestochem Pharmaceutical (India) then as a Medical Representative. He worked as a Medical Representative with Bal Pharmacy and further served as Territory Manager at Alchemist Pharmaceuticals and as Digital Sales Executive at Iseva India.
However, after a year he returned to Kashmir, and upon the guidance of Nasir Ali Mirza, a software engineer working at Microsoft, M.N. Malik moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to embark on a career in the Oil & Gas sector, starting with an inspection and testing company. Here, he embarked to become a Technical Sales Officer at Gulf Engineering House, and SOGEC IKK GROUP. Moreover, Malik was associated with SPSS ALYAMAMA as Business Manager GCC, Carrologic Specialist at Abdulla Fouad Group, and Business Manager at Ranco BOUN. Eventually, he joined Dominion Group GCC as Interface Manager, Aegion (Corrpower International) as Business Manager, and led the position of General Manager at Tamimi Inspection Testing Services.
At KSA, he pursued all relevant certifications in Non-destructive Testing and simultaneously engaged in studies across mechanical, electrochemical, and civil engineering services. Eventually, he went on to complete a diploma in Mechanical Engineering, become a certified Corrosion Technologist by NACE, and achieve certifications in project management through esteemed organizations like NACE, ASNT GOOGLE, PMI, and UC Irvine Division. Currently, he serves as the Project Manager at Halo Maritime Defense Systems and is the Founder of Crocus International Co. W.L.L.
M.N Malik reflects, “My professional path then steered me toward opportunities to work for multinational corporations such as IKK, Alyamama, Abdulla Fouad, Aegion, Dominion, RANCO, and GEH, among others, further solidifying my expertise and presence in the industry. This journey, from the humble beginnings in Kashmir to achieving professional success across different cultures and geographies, embodies the essence of hard work, continual learning, and invaluable guidance from mentors.”
