German Envoy Attends the Falcon Auction in Riyadh

Michael Kindsgrab, the German ambassador to Saudi Arabia, visited the International Falcon Breeders Auction.

The Saudi Falcons Club is organizing the event, which is hosted at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and runs until August 24. It brings together breeding farms from sixteen different countries.

Ahmed Al-Hababi, the club’s deputy CEO, welcomed the ambassador.

Kindsgrab was given a tour of the many displays and pavilions and given an overview of the various falcon species, the breeding procedure, and the club’s endeavors to uphold the long-standing tradition of falconry.

Jaber Al-Meri, a spokesperson for Special Falcons of Germany, stated that the German farm was excited to take part in the auction this year after achieving great success the previous year. He called the event’s sales “excellent.”

Al-Meri predicted that as sales increased, falconers would have to bring in additional birds to keep up with demand.

The world’s biggest auction of its kind, held every year, unites falconers and breeders from premium falcon breeds.

The event is a reflection of the Saudi Falcons Club’s work to uphold the world-renowned falconry tradition and provide support to top falcon-breeding farms in an effort to further establish the Kingdom as a top destination for falcons and falconers.
