JEDDAH: At a lavish reception in Jeddah, the Indian community welcomed Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri as the country’s new consul general. Locals and notable guests eagerly turned out in large numbers to support the event.
In addition to thanking the Indian community for its support, Suri underlined the significance of bolstering trade ties between Saudi Arabia and India. He suggested that increased trade could promote more extensive cultural and economic exchanges. Indian professionals could contribute to strengthening trade relations and creating opportunities for innovation and investment, paving the way for a prosperous future, according to Suri.
He declared that open house sessions with the community would continue, but with a more concentrated approach, and outlined the consulate’s initiative to register Indian professionals and businesses, building a comprehensive database. Children’s cultural performances were showcased at the event, along with traditional Indian dance and music.
