RIYADH: The 25th WPC Energy Congress will take place in the Saudi capital from October 11th to the 15th. This will be the first time the worldwide conference has been held in the Kingdom. Gathering energy ministers, CEOs of relevant industries, lawmakers, and world leaders in the energy sector, the five-day event will have the subject “Pathways to an Energy Future for All” and will be held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.
The program boasts over 30 plenary, strategic, and ministerial sessions that will delve into various topics such as energy security, global oil and gas markets, investment, critical minerals, carbon management, natural gas, and the evolving energy mix. The press release also states that AI, digital transformation, critical minerals, investment, and investment will all be covered.
The congress coincides with the International Energy Agency’s forecast that, in 2026, worldwide investment in energy will reach $3.4 trillion, a 5% increase from the previous year. While oil, gas, and coal will receive around $1.2 trillion, clean energy, grids, storage, and efficiency are projected to receive about $2.2 trillion.
