Video of a ostage Held in Gaza Released by the Armed Wing of Hamas

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, released a video on Saturday showing a man who was being held captive in Gaza by Palestinian militants and who was visible in the footage as alive.

In the 11-second video, the man can be heard saying, “Time is running out,” over text written in Hebrew and Arabic. Your government is not telling the truth. The group’s Telegram channel featured a video of the captive speaking under duress. This was the third time in less than a month that footage of the captives in Gaza had been made public.

The group unveiled a video on April 27 that featured Keith Siegel and Omri Miran, the two hostages who were still alive.

It released a different video three days prior, featuring hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin.

On October 7, when Hamas militants attacked southern Israel, about 250 people were kidnapped and taken to the Gaza Strip.

128 of them, including 36 dead, are reportedly still being held captive in Palestinian territory, according to Israeli officials.

Over 1,170 Israelis and foreigners, mostly civilians, lost their lives as a result of the attack, according to an AFP count based on official Israeli figures.
