Star food blogger Emad Ramen from Saudi Arabia was one of the culinary celebrities that attended Geekcon in Kuwait as guests. He spoke with other chefs about his growing popularity of fusing Middle Eastern and Asian foods.
“It feels really nice to be invited to an event like this, especially since my mother is from Kuwait and we visited there for the first time,” Emad, also known on social media as “Emad Ramen,” stated.
He wrote before the event that he was excited to “learn about Kuwaiti cuisine and meet chefs from there.”
According to its website, Geekcon was established in 2023 to celebrate “all things geeky, from anime and comics to comics, video games, movies, and more.”
Emad, who is 32 years old, is gaining popularity in the food industry for his distinctive fusion of Asian and Middle Eastern flavors. Emad, a Saudi Arabian chef, was initially inspired to cook by the vivid tastes of Indonesian cuisine.
Emad said, “It really motivated me to explore more Asian and foreign cuisines.” “And some foods like katsu curry and ramen that I wanted to try from anime movies and cartoons.”
