RIYADH: The Saudi Press Agency announced early on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia had denounced Israel’s occupation of 800 hectares of Palestinian territory in the West Bank. According to a foreign ministry statement, the Kingdom claimed that the action is a flagrant breach of pertinent international laws and an expansion of the harsh forced settlement operations under Israeli occupation.
The statement said, “The Kingdom affirms that the chances of a just and sustainable peace based on the two-state solution are undermined and the credibility of the international system is weakened by Israel’s continued violation of international law and legitimacy resolutions without deterrence.”
Saudi Arabia renewed its call on the international community to immediately stop the systematic Israeli settlers’ violations and return confiscated Palestinian lands.
