Saudi Arabia is the First Arab Nation to Congratulate Trump

RIYADH: Following Donald Trump’s resounding win in the US presidential election on Wednesday, Arab leaders congratulated him. King Salman of Saudi Arabia congratulated Trump and wished the “American people further progress and prosperity” in a cable. In addition to praising the two countries’ close historical ties, the king “emphasized the shared desire to further strengthen these bonds in all areas.”

In addition, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Trump via cable. The crown prince stated the Kingdom’s desire to improve ties between Saudi Arabia and the United States in a phone call later on Wednesday. He hoped that under Trump’s leadership, the American people will advance and flourish.

After taking office for his first term as president in 2017, the Republican paid his first foreign visit to Saudi Arabia. The visit strengthened ties with Gulf allies and emphasized the significance of the historic US-Saudi friendship.

Following his resounding election victory over Democrat Kamala Harris, those nations praised Trump. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, congratulated Trump and his running mate JD Vance. “Our enduring partnership based on shared ambitions for progress unites the United States and the United Arab Emirates,” Skeikh Mohamed continued.
