BAKU: The Kingdom’s strong efforts to combat climate change and advance sustainable development goals are reflected in the Saudi pavilion, which has become a center for cooperation and innovation at the COP29 climate conference.
Saudi Arabia’s dedication to promoting climate solutions has been emphasized via a number of panel discussions and expert insights at the pavilion. Energy sector leaders, legislators, and experts attended the seminars to share ideas and discuss emerging technology.
Converting carbon dioxide into useful products was the topic of another session, “Advancing Innovative Carbon Utilization Technologies to Achieve Climate Ambitions.” In addition to discussing the worldwide difficulties of decarbonization, participants highlighted technical options for carbon management, such as the advancement of carbon capture and utilization technology.
The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to reaching net-zero emissions by 2060, highlighting the potential of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source. Renad Aldebasi, a carbon specialist at the Ministry of Energy, described the Kingdom’s initiatives under the circular carbon economy program in an interview with Arab News.
