RIYADH: On Wednesday, a number of cities and other areas of the Kingdom were impacted by cold and heavy rain, and snow covered portions of northern Saudi Arabia. Trojena, a hiking and skiing resort on Jebel Al-Lawz in Tabuk Province with an elevation of up to 2,600 meters, had some moderate rainfall and was covered in snow.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, Bir Bin Hermas, Al-Ayinah, Ammar, and Shaqra and its suburbs also had light to moderate rain. Following the snowfall in Tabuk and Hail regions on Wednesday, the National Center for Meteorology warned that there was a possibility of more snowfall on Thursday in northern sections of Riyadh and Al-Qassim Province.
The resort is situated at a height of 2,600 meters on Jebel Al-Lawz in Tabuk Province. Al-Qassim Province and the northern Riyadh region are expected to get snow on Thursday, according to the National Center for Meteorology. Trojena was covered in snow and experienced some light rainfall.
