Saudi Educators to Gain New Skills in the Tourism Sector

Saudi Arabia’s National Institute for Educational Professional Development has to rolled out a new training program focused on tourism and hospitality in the partnership with the Ministry of Tourism. This initiative aims to boost professional development in fields crucial to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, with teachers from all backgrounds and grade levels eligible to participate starting Thursday.​

The program equips educators with the knowledge to introduce students to the importance of tourism and hospitality and their impact on Saudi Arabia’s economy. It also trains teachers to weave the Kingdom’s historical of natural and cultural attractions into their lessons helping to nurture national pride and a strong sense of identity.​

This specialized course reflects strategic efforts by the National Institute to collaborate with the different sectors and enhance teaching quality. Ultimately, the goal is to give teachers the tools to support the Ministry of Education’s mission of empowering Saudi citizens with new skills so they can further contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
