MAKKAH: In the realm of equestrianism, where daring and endurance reign supreme, Saudi rider Nawal Al-Anazi has emerged as a rising star.
With unyielding perseverance and boundless ambition, she has turned her childhood passion into a professional career. She is a licensed equestrian with the Saudi Federation and a proud horse owner who aspires to represent her country on the international stage.
The path to professionalism was not without obstacles, but Al-Anazi’s enthusiasm propelled her forward. She reached a huge milestone by competing in the famous Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup in AlUla after putting in a lot of effort and getting her horse.
“Participating in that championship fulfilled one dream, but I am setting my sights higher,” she told reporters. “My ultimate goal is to compete in the 2025 World Cup in AlUla and represent Saudi Arabia globally. For Al-Anazi, equestrianism is more than just a sport; it’s about developing deep connections with these creatures. “Each horse has its unique personality,” she told me. They are more than simply racing machines; they are actual partners who understand their riders and respond appropriately. The relationship must be established on mutual trust and respect.
